    The Kawasaki Motor KLX is an inline four-cylinder engine, with a total displacement of 400cm3 and a maximum power output of 46.7 kW at 10,000 rpm.     SAFAHAD Technology – PT Kawasaki Motor Indonesia (KMI) resmi mengumumkan model barunya, New KLX 150. Motor road bike tersebut mengalami ubahan yang cukup signifikan dibanding sebelumnya.

    Meski begitu, sektor mesin belum diperbarui secara khusus. Bahkan sistem injeksi KLX 150 baru mengandalkan karburator, tidak seperti kompetitornya yang sudah menggunakan injeksi.

    Presiden Direktur PT KMI, Jin Inoue mengatakan, lebih praktis menggunakan sistem pengabutan karburator ketimbang injeksi.

    “Dengan sistem karburator, motor ini akan lebih mudah dalam perawatannya dan juga dimodifikasi”, kata Inoue di sela-sela acara Kawasaki Bike Week 2023 (4/2/2023).

    Selain itu, pengguna motor Kawasaki biasanya berada jauh dari dealer resmi. Belum lagi jika sepeda motor digunakan untuk eksplorasi dan mengalami kerusakan, sepeda motor karburator disebut-sebut lebih mudah perawatannya.

    “Karburator juga mudah diperbaiki sendiri terutama ketika terdapat masalah atau kerusakan ketika menghadapi medan ekstrem seperti saat trabas ke hutan”, lanjut Inoue.

    Selain itu, ia juga menyebutkan data penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Kawasaki. Menurut survey, konsumen KLX150 puas dengan mesin karburator.

    “Ya, saya rasa dari hasil survei didapat konsumen cukup puas dengan kinerja sistem ini (karburator)”, ujarnya.

    Informasi selanjutnya, New KLX 150 mendapat beberapa ubahan. Fitur yang paling mencolok adalah penyematan lampu LED. Namun sayang, baik lampu sein maupun lampu rem masih bohlam.

    Kemudian dashboard juga terlihat lebih modern karena memiliki layar LCD digital. Dulu, masih menggunakan jarum analog konvensional.

    Selain itu, seluruh bodi sepeda motor sudah banyak berubah. KMI mengklaim desain barunya lebih agresif, namun tetap menunjukkan gaya motocross.

    Sektor kaki-kaki dengan jarak yang lebih jauh juga dikatakan telah direvisi. Adapun dapur pacunya masih menggunakan mesin lama.

    Mesin ini memiliki perpindahan 150 cc berpendingin udara, 4-tak, SOHC, 2 katup yang menghasilkan 11 Tk pada 8000 rpm dan torsi puncak 11,3 Nm pada 6500 rpm.
